Question: Bad credit?
If I have had bad credit in the past, and I would like to apply for a credit card but have already been turned down by one, how can I get a different one? Im hoping to rebuild my credit, all my old debts are paid off (including my car) and would like a credit card... the limit isnt important. Does anyone know any companies that will give cards to people with bad credit? Also, I live in Canada.
Answer: the imagine card by mastercard approves anyone as long as they have a checking acct. limit usually starts off with like $100. but will grow with good payments
Question: I have bad credit and need financing for my business to expand? Does anyone have any ideas on how to do this?
Hello,
I have a small residential and commercial cleaning business that I am looking to expand. I have been shopping around for financing through traditional lenders, but due to my 518 FICO score and millions of charge-offs, I can't get fianancing. I have applied to a few non-profits in the state that I live in. I have also been pitching my case to some friends. I don't have any family that can help. They all have bad credit and so do much of my friends. I really do not know anyone with cash on hand either. I have been looking into getting an angel investor or a venture capitalist, but I do not know if that'll work. I've posted an ad on Prosper and I never get responses. Again, I think that this is due to my bad credit. I am seriously running out of ideas. I have 15 months invested in this and I do NOT want to give up. Does anyone have any suggestions or can anyone suggest a place that can help me? I know I need to fix my credit, but I need the money to do it. Please, please, help!
Answer: I think Prosper.com may be your last best chance. Maybe you need to change your writeup. Potential lenders want to know about your past but, most of all, they want to hear your honest description of why and how you think you'll be successful this time. Potential lenders like to invest in people, not in businesses.
Just be careful that any solution you decide on is not taken in desperation and quick judgement. The results could make your situation worse than it already is.
I'm sure you realize it now, but others should learn from your experience that poor financial responsibility has very serious long-term effects that are extremely difficult to overcome.
Best wishes to you.
Question: How do I get a credit card with bad credit or no credit in Canada?
I have no credit, and my buddy has bad credit. We are going on a trip in a few months and need to apply online to get a credit card. Mastercard or Visa. Anyone know where?
answer: Try http://www.applyforcarloan.ca/apply_online_secured_credit_card_mastercard_canada.php
They offer what is called a secured credit card. Basically send them $500 or more, and they send you a Mastercard, with the same limit. 99% of people get approved for these types of secured credit cards. They still require you to make payments when you use it, but the great thing is it will build new credit, or rebuild bad credit!
Question: What is the difference between good credit and bad credit?
I have a lot of credit cards to pay and always make the minimum sometimes a little bit more then the minimum per month. But I don't know the difference between good credit and bad credit. Does bad credit involve not paying your credit? what is the difference between these two terms?
Answer: Your credit score is made up of the following things;
1. Payment history 35%
2. Time in bureau 15%
3. New credit 10%
4. Type of credit used 10%
5. Debt to income ratio 30%
As you can see items 1,2&5 are the most important as far as score is concerned. So you are going to want at least 3-revolving accounts (credit cards) with long good pay history's and at least 2-installment loans (cars, boats, homes or personal loans) also with good long pay historys to achieve the maximum score and profile.
You always want to make your payments on time or before they are due. Pay as much as you can every month and try not to exceed 30% of your credit limit in any given month.
If you can achieve this, you will never have to worry about your credit. Good credit takes years to establish and only about 3-months to destroy.
I would suggest that you go to the web site I put in the source list and get your free copy of the Consumer Action Handbook. It has a lot of really good information about credit.
